FAQ’S
What should my child bring with them to Little Starlings?
As we are a free flow setting and provide a wide range of activities, we advise that children bring a bag with them (no long straps or drawstrings) containing the following items:
Slippers
Wellies
Full change of clothes (or 3!)
Comforter
Nappy Changing Supplies (if required)
Drinks Bottle
Seasonal Items
Sunhat
Coat/Rain Mac
Wet Weather Gear (i.e Puddle Suit)
Hat/Gloves
PLEASE CLEARLY LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME
What clothes should my child wear to pre-school?
Little Starlings provide aprons for messy activities; however we would recommend children do not wear their ‘best’ clothes. We would also suggest that clothes are easy to pull up/down for toileting/changing needs and to encourage independence. Little Starlings cannot be held liable for any lost or damaged items so please clearly label all clothing.
Do you provide snacks and meals?
Little Starlings will provide your child with a morning and afternoon snack (where applicable). Snacks and drinks are prepared in the kitchen by staff holding a relevant qualification. All food offered is nutritious, varied, healthy and will comply with any dietary/individual requirements made known to us.
Fresh drinking water is available at all times. Staff check and refill your child’s bottle, where necessary, throughout the day. An option of milk/water is provided at snack times.
Lunch is served at 12.30pm and consists of a 2-course meal provided by local caterers.
How do I complete my child(ren)’s registration?
The registration pack must be completed and returned at least 48 hours before the child’s first session with us. If a registration fee is required, this will be invoiced on receipt of the completed registration pack.
